Nasarawa Youth Empowerment Agency NAYEA says that, it has arrested about fifty suspected criminals by the marshals of the agency for commiting various offences in four local government areas of the state.
The General Manager of the Agency, Abdullahi Bala disclosed this while fielding question from newsmen in lafia the nasarawa state capital.Mr. Abdullahi Bala said the suspects was aprehended for commiting diffirents criminal offences in wamba, awe, keana and karu local government areas and were handed them over to the security personnel for prosecution at the court of law.
According to him, the agency in collabiration with security agencies have recorded tremendious success in it’s activities towards tackling social vices and criminality within the society in the state.
The General Manager of the NAYEA said, the stakeholder meetings he had with the leaders of KASTELEA and KAROTA in kaduna and kano states, the recommendation, to the state governmemt resulted to review upward the allowance of the personnel from ten thousand to thirty thousand naira as monthly stipend.
He expressed concerned with the atitude of some personnel of the agency for not going to their duty post which according to him, is a serious set back in the agency’s progress.
Mr. Abdullahi Bala also appealed to stakeholders to always be supporting the agency and consider the challenges being face by not entertaining complains from unserious personnel of the agency.
The General Manager who commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for supporting NAYEA, also appealed to him for maximum support and logistics to enable them continue in contributing their quota to tackle the security challenges facing some areas in the state.
The Nasarawa Youth Empowerment Agency NAYEA currently had over four thousand five hundreds personnel working across the thirteen local government areas of the state.
