Former Inspector-General of Police, Barrister Suleiman Abba, has pledged to conduct his campaign for the Jigawa Central Senatorial seat under the PDP in a peaceful, dignified manner and in accordance with the law.
Barrister Abba made this known during a press briefing held at the Jigawa State PDP Secretariat in Dutse, where he officially launched his campaign activities.
The former IGP said his 31 years of service in the Nigeria Police Force, from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Inspector-General of Police, have equipped him with the experience and understanding needed to run a fair campaign that respects everyone.
He stressed that his decision to contest for the Senate seat is not driven by opposition to or attacks on any individual, but by his desire to use his expertise and knowledge to advance the development of Jigawa Central and protect the rights and interests of its people.
Barrister Abba identified agriculture, security, and job creation for youths as some of the key areas he would prioritize if elected.
He also called on the people of Jigawa Central to support him and other PDP candidates, noting that unity among the people would help bring about development in Jigawa and Nigeria as a whole.
He assured the public that his campaign would focus on people-centered policies and issues, while promoting peace and respect for all throughout the election period.
