The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Jigawa State has mobilized its digital actors and social media influencers, charging them to leverage their platforms to promote the party’s candidates and deepen grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The directive was issued on Saturday in Hadejia during the second phase of the Digital Media Capacity-Building Programme organized under “Project Sabo Nakudu 2027” for participants from the Jigawa Northeast Senatorial District.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ahmed Rufai Gumel, a former APC Social Media Chairman in Jigawa and now ADC member and aspirant for Gumel State Constituency, urged the digital team to demonstrate professionalism, commitment and consistency in projecting the party’s message.
He disclosed that the online activities of participants would be monitored to assess reach, engagement and impact, adding that committed digital influencers would be rewarded with necessary support, incentives and privileges.
Representing the Project Coordinator, Alhaji Usman Sabo Nakudu, a party official said the training was designed to strengthen ADC’s digital communication structure and enhance voter outreach at the grassroots.
He noted that participants were being equipped with modern digital skills, ethical standards for online engagement, and strategies for issue-based messaging, voter mobilization and effective promotion of the party’s manifesto and leadership vision.
In a paper presentation, former Managing Director of Radio Jigawa, Mati Ali, spoke on “The Political Journey of Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, CON,” highlighting the Senator’s antecedents, track record of public service, leadership qualities and vision for Jigawa State.
Other speakers included ADC candidate for Hadejia State Constituency, Alhaji Isah Billami, Haruna Shuaibu Danzomo, Alhaji Haruna Global Hadejia and Hon. Sani Anytime.
The training assembled selected influencers, digital volunteers, youth mobilizers, content creators and communication coordinators from across the Northeast Senatorial District.
Party officials said the initiative is part of a three-phase digital engagement plan aimed at harmonizing campaign messaging, strengthening online advocacy and building a disciplined network of ADC communicators across Jigawa.
The final phase for the Jigawa Northwest Senatorial District is expected to hold in Gumel in the coming weeks.
