The PDP Governorship Candidate in Gombe State, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has donated ₦3 million to ECWA Gospel Church, Ashaka Road, following a reported incident of church burning in the area.
Professor Pantami, who visited the church through a high-powered delegation, described the attack as unfortunate and expressed solidarity with the Christian community in the state.
The delegation, which visited on behalf of the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, conveyed his condolences, offered prayers, and reassured the congregation of his support.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation and PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Rambi Ibrahim Ayala, said the donation was to assist the church and those affected by the incident.
Also in the delegation was Hon. Yakubu Buba, PDP State House of Assembly Candidate for Pero-Chonge Constituency.
Hon. Ayala conveyed Professor Pantami’s message, stressing the need for peace, unity, religious tolerance, and mutual respect among all communities in Gombe State. “We are here to stand with you in this moment of trial.
Professor Pantami believes that the greatest strength of Gombe State lies in our unity and peaceful coexistence regardless of faith,” he said.
The representatives also prayed for God’s comfort, protection, and strength for the church leadership and members as they recovered.
In response, the leadership and members of ECWA Gospel Church appreciated the visit and the generous support. They described it as a timely demonstration of compassion and solidarity.
They thanked Professor Pantami for identifying with them during the difficult period and prayed for continued peace, security, and harmony across Gombe State.
Professor Pantami, in a statement signed by James Jonathan Bello, Chairman of the Christian Media Team for Pantami 2027, reaffirmed his commitment to promoting love, understanding, and lawful conduct among citizens for a more peaceful and prosperous Gombe.
