In an effort to enhance social amenities in every nook and cranny of Jigawa state and for the people to enjoy dividends of democracy at grassroots level.
Malam madori local Government council has disbursed thirty million and eight hundred thousand to 154 polling units across the local Government area .
The development fund program was initiated by Former Governor Saminu Turaki and re-introduce by present the Jigawa state Governor Umar Namadi for the people at grassroots level to enjoy and witness developmental activities.
In his speech, the council chairman of Malam madori local Government area , Salisu Sani Garungabas has urged the members of the committee at ward to avoid misuse of the development fund .
He further stated guidelines to be use by the Eleven member committee who will make use judicial use of the fund as each polling units will receive 200,000 each.
One of the member of the committee , Hajiya Safiya Muhammad said, there is tracking form to be fill by each polling unit where she also needs the collaboration polling units in doing a huge project tat will benefit them due to nearness.
while flagging off the disbursement of the fund , the chairman of the polling unit development fund committee , Commissioner of women affairs, Hajiya Hsdiza Abdulwahab stated the expected work to be use with fund which include repairing of boreholes, evacuation of Drainages and culverts, sponsoring students and assisting ill people as well people living with disabilities.
