The Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, ACHPN, in collaboration with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, CHPRBN, has launched “Operation Show Your Valid License and Certificate”, OSYVLAC, in Jigawa State.

Flagging off the exercise in Dutse, the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, commended the initiative and pledged the government’s full support.

He urged all community health practitioners in the state to cooperate with the inspection teams and ensure their licenses and certificates are valid.

The National President of ACHPN, Comrade Kabiru Yahaya Ahmed, said the operation is aimed at ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and eradicating quackery in community health practice.

He warned that practitioners who fail to present valid documents will face sanctions in line with the law and CHPRBN regulations.

Representing the Registrar of CHPRBN, Professor Bashir Idris Lifidin Jama’a, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, Comrade Abbas Jibrin Kazurawa, announced that the inspection team will be in Jigawa for six days.

He directed all practitioners to possess and present three key documents: a valid CHPRBN Practicing License, an original or certified copy of their professional certificate, and proof of registration with CHPRBN.

The exercise is expected to cover health facilities across the 27 local government areas of the state.
