Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved the reinstatement of 28 former aides and the appointment of 8 new ones as part of efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.According to the statement, the reinstatement covers 14 Special Advisers, 6 Senior Special Assistants, and 8 Special Assistants.

The reinstated Special Advisers are: Dr. Atiku Hafiz on Public Health; Saleh Ahmed Birniwa, Youth Mobilization; Abdurrahman Alkassim, Local Government Affairs I; Haladu Usman, Project Monitoring; Khalid S. Ibrahim, Support Groups; Dr. Habib Aminu Kani, Technology and Innovation; Hudu Babangida, Senior Citizens; Safiyanu Abba Sankara, Health Matters; Haruna Mairiga, Social Security; Ibrahim Hussaini Kadeta, Trade and Commerce; Ismaila Abdul’aziz, Micro Finance Bank; Adamu Idris Andaza, Social Protection; Abdulwahab T. Sulaiman, SEMA; and Hassan Alhaji Musa, Human Resources.

Reinstated Senior Special Assistants include: Hamza Gada Bala, Assembly Matters; Hon. Husseini Umar BK, Industrial Relations; Hon. Shu’aibu Inuwa Basirka, Nutrition; Malam Mansur Shehu, MSMEs and Financial Inclusion; Abdurrashid Illah Ringim, JASCO; and Hon. Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu, Youth Mobilization, Ringim Emirate.*The reinstated Special Assistants are:* Siraj Muhammad, Project Monitoring; Hon. Muhammad Fatihu Adamu, Health Monitoring; Hon. Aliyu Umar Abubakar, Health Monitoring, Birnin Kudu LGA; Salisu Yau, Higher Education; Hon. Haruna Mustapha Jahun, Due Process; Hon. Tijjani Sayyadi, Drug Abuse and Rape; Hon. Yusha’u Abdu, Health Monitoring; and Hon. Garba A. Abdullahi, Community Mobilization.In addition, Governor Namadi approved the appointment of 8 new aides. They are: Professor Muftahu Sa’adu Majia, Technical Adviser on Higher Education; Hajiya Salma Wakili, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship; Adamu Yusuf Garkuwa, Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs; Mubarak Aliyu, Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs; Musbahu Rabi’u Kaugama, Special Adviser on Investment Promotion; Bala Sule Kila, Special Adviser on NGOs; Umar Sa’idu Janbola, Senior Special Assistant on Hajj Affairs; and Bayero Maifulani, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization.

The Secretary to the Government said the appointments were made based on merit, competence, and personal integrity.

While congratulating the new and reinstated appointees, Malam Bala Ibrahim expressed confidence that their experience and expertise would significantly contribute to improving governance in Jigawa State.

The statement added that all the appointments and reinstatements take immediate effect.
