The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared Danladi Halilu Envulu-anza of the All Progressives Congress APC as the winner of the Nasarawa North Senatorial District Bye-election.
The returning officer for the election Professor Aminu Ali announcing the results, at the college of education akwanga, Akwanga local government area.
Professor Aminu Ali said, Danladi Halilu Envuluanza, polled 45,362 votes, which defeated his rivals former Information Minister Mr. Labaran Maku of the Labour Party LP who secured 12,931 votes and David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP that got 11,570 respectively.
According to the returning officer, Mohammed Alaku of the African Democratic Congress ADC polled 4,244 votes while Ishaya Duba Dodo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC got 1,496 votes respectively.
The Nasarawa North Senatorial District By-election was held to fill in the vacancy created following the death of its legislator in the Red Chamber, Godiya Akwashiki, who died after a prolonged ill health in December 31, 2025.
