Hajiya Aisha Sayyadi Mahmud, wife of the Emir of Ringim, Alhaji Sayyadi Mahmud, has passed away.
She died on Wednesday at the age of 83.
Thousands of people gathered at the Ringim Emir’s Palace for her Janazah prayer.
The turnout included residents, Islamic scholars, and visitors from other areas.
Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, led a government delegation to the palace to condole with the Emir and the people of Ringim. He described the late Hajiya Aisha as a woman of dignity and service.
Her son, Usman Sayyadi Mahmud, the Chiroma of Ringim, was also at the palace with members of the royal family to receive sympathizers.
Governor Namadi prayed for Allah’s mercy on her soul and declared that the Emirate has announced a period of mourning in her honor.
