The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has called on parents to ensure their children receive both Islamic and Western education so they can grow into responsible and productive citizens.
Speaking at the maiden graduation of Tijjani Bni Alu School for Qur’anic Memorisation and Islamic Studies in Fada, Zaria, the Emir emphasized that parents must play an active role in guiding and monitoring their children’s moral and academic growth.
He also appealed to wealthy individuals to invest in Islamic education, saying such support attracts Allah’s blessings.
According to him, the Sheikh Bin Fodio Research and Islamic Centre established in the emirate has had a positive impact on residents and surrounding communities.
The Emir noted that seeking Islamic knowledge is a duty for every Muslim, regardless of age or social standing.In his remarks, the school’s Director, Malam Abdullahi Balarabe, outlined the institution’s progress since it was founded.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Bello Abdulkadir, added that the school was revived to uphold the educational legacy of the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Alu Dan Sidi Bamalli.
The school provides free learning for three groups: adults, married women, and children, with a focus on Qur’anic memorisation and Islamic studies.
