The Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVCN) has conducted a sensitization exercise for party faithful on voter registration and empowered 110 beneficiaries with N10,000 each in Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The Chairman of the association, Sardaunan Malam Madori, urged all party members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them to exercise their franchise during elections.

He further stated that raising awareness at the grassroots level would help fulfil the promise made by Governor Umar Namadi to deliver two million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2027 general election.

The Secretary of the association, who is also the Vice Chairman of Gagarawa Local Government, Dr. Abdullahi Sa’ad, said the programme would be expanded to the ward level to mobilise citizens for the voter registration exercise across Jigawa State.

He added that the programme would be conducted in all 27 local government councils of the state to ensure success.

In his speech, the Chairman of Dutse Local Government Council, who also serves as the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Dr. Sibu Abdullahi, urged party faithful to avoid anti-party behaviour and to give maximum support and cooperation for the success of the party.

He also flagged off the distribution of N1.1 million to 110 beneficiaries in the area.Earlier, the Council Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government Area, Salisu Sani Garungabas, welcomed all participants who honoured the occasion and urged party supporters to give their full support to ensure the party records a huge success during the 2027 general election.
