Following the rainfall and heavy winds that resulted in the destruction of homes and boarding school hostels in Kaugama Local Government Area.

The council chairman, Honourable Usman Masaki Dansule, has directed the Department of Works and Housing to renovate the school hostels that were recently destroyed, so that students can sleep safely.

The incident occurred when roofs were blown off and some structures were ruined due to the heavy wind in the area.

While responding, the State central working committee chairman, Muhammad Danyayi has urged residents of the area and jigawa state at large to evacuate Drainages, culverts for easy flow of rainwater.

In his response, Council Chairman Usman Masaki sympathized with the victims and pledged to seek assistance for them from the Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for assessment and necessary action.
