His Highness, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, CFR, has been appointed as the new Chancellor of Sokoto State University, Sokoto.
A statement from the Emirate said His Highness cordially invites members of the public, dignitaries, title holders and well-wishers to the ceremony marking his appointment.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 4th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the premises of Sokoto State University, Sokoto.
Mai Martaba Sarki Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, CFR, who ascended the throne of Dutse Emirate, is renowned for his commitment to education, community development and promotion of peace. His appointment as Chancellor is expected to further strengthen the relationship between traditional institutions and academia in the North-West.
