Nasarawa State Ministry of Local Government, Community. Development and Chieftancy Affairs, said that the current administration has transformed the state in various sectors to includes, human capital development, education, health and security.
The State Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Aminu Mu’azu Mai-fata disclosed this in an interview with journalists in lafia, the state capital.The Commissioner said, the success recorded includes all indises interms of education, social services, health, human capital and infrastructural development as well as agricuture the governmemt had performed excellently well.
Alhaji Aminu Mu’azu Mai-fata explained that, these development cut accross state and local government level, adding that, no local governmemt area in the state that were left behind interms of provitions of tremendious social amenities and projects.
“I was lucky to work with his excellency the governor, both at local government and state level holding positions and no any local councils in nasarawa state that did not benefit the hand work of governor Abdullahi Sule be it health-care, roads construction, education, market or skills acquisition centre,’ he said………””Once you opened off roads you open economic activities along that roads, Governor Abdullahi Sulehas doned that.
And i can give so many example in all the local government areas, while on assumption in office the first road he completed was that Kilema to Shinge and linking to Kwandare road which was very vital to the people of Lafia, look at Sadami Street linking to Abubakar Wakeeli road now it has became history, Mai-fata added.
The Commissioner for Local Government further said that, health insurance, basic health facilities of the citizens is part of the major blueprint of the governor and it’s well equipt both at the state and local government level for profer health-care coverage to the people in the state.
He explained that, education is also received series of development such as provitions of infrastructure both at the tertiary, secondary and primary schools level, training and re-training of teachers, recruitment of thousands of new teachers to impact sound knowledge to pupils and students in the state.
On agriculture, he said, the governor performed extremely well and make impact not even in provitions of tractors but the government engaged practically by investing heavly on Jangwa Rice Farm and distribution of farm input to local farmers twice in a year aimed at boosting food surfciency.
“Education remain key in this administration of governor Abdullahi Sule considering it’s importance, he recruited thousands of teachers, training and re-training both at the primary and secondary schools to man the affairs of the education sector in that regards.
And so also health care service he take that serious even in insurance, the people of the state are enjoying,’ he said. “”The agriculture is one of the most beneficiary in this present government infact no any sector that were not been tourch by Governor Abdullahi Sule in the last seven years of his stewership be it mining name them,’
The Commissioner added, “Alhaji Aminu Mu’azu Mai-fata maintained that, at the local government level, council chairmen were given free hands to operate without any interperance and chart their developmental cources and were able to execute alot of developmental projects include the construction of one-one kilometer ashfalt road in each of the thirteen local government council.
He explained that staff welfare and payment of full salary, pension and gratuity to the civil servant cut across various sectors on the workforce and at local government level in the state is commendable.
The State Commissiiner for Local Government, Community Development and Cheiftancy Affairs, said the state interms of security, peace and stability nasarawa is leading in the entire northern region.
“The Governor is very proactive in security issues once he is notify on a security breach he act past to tackle the problem without allowing it to escalate, And he is doing that by carrying local government chairmen and always preaching to them to be on high alert so that to address any security issues within some second,’ he added. “”Imterms traditional rulers welfare Governor Abdullahi Sule is not jorking with.
And on assumption in office as commissioner for local government we intiated alot of reforms were by traditional rulers are now enjoying and having a good working enviroment and their welfare is being considered seriously that is why you will see them performing their duties effectively as custodian of peace, tradition and culture in the state,’ Mai-fata said.
Alhaji Aminu Mu’azu Mai-fata called on people of nasarawa state to continue to give government and security agencies the maximum support and co’operation to achieve the wonderful projects being exexuting up to the end of this tenure next year in 2027.COV/Aliyu Muraki/Lafia.
