Honourable Aliyu Abubakar Tsafe (MC) has congratulated Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar on his appointment as Director-General of the campaign organization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Salis Muhammad Moriki, on Saturday, Tsafe described the appointment as “strategic and timely”, citing Senator Yari’s vast political experience, organizational strength, and grassroots mobilization network.
He noted that Yari’s track record from serving two terms as Governor of Zamfara State to his current role in the National Assembly has shown his capacity to navigate complex political terrains, build alliances, and maintain strong ties with the grassroots.
“Senator Yari’s contributions to the growth of democratic politics and the APC, particularly his engagement with political stakeholders across different regions, have positioned him as a formidable political strategist capable of leading a nationwide campaign,” Tsafe said.
The former Zamfara lawmaker expressed confidence that the appointment will strengthen the President’s political structure ahead of 2027.
He added that Yari’s deep understanding of Northern Nigeria’s political dynamics, combined with his national networks, will be key in building a broad coalition of support for President Tinubu.
“Senator Abdulaziz Yari is a politician with considerable experience, deep grassroots connections and an extensive network of relationships across Nigeria.
His appointment is therefore not only a recognition of his political capacity but also a strategic step towards strengthening the campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” he stated.
Tsafe expressed optimism that under Yari’s leadership, the campaign organization would effectively communicate the achievements of the Tinubu administration, mobilize supporters, and consolidate the APC’s electoral base nationwide.
He prayed for wisdom, strength and success for Senator Yari in the discharge of his duties, and also wished President Tinubu victory in 2027.
The lawmaker further called on APC members and stakeholders across the country to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s collective objective as the 2027 general elections approach.
