Malam Madori Local Government Area has a new Director of Administration and General Services, DAGS, following a handover ceremony held on Tuesday, June 17, 2026.
Baffa Muhammad Sarawa officially took over from the outgoing DAGS, Abubakar Alhassan, who retired after 35 years in service.
The transfer was ordered by the Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission.In his farewell address, Abubakar urged staff to maintain punctuality and respect for superiors to move the local government forward.
He thanked staff for their support during his tenure.
The incoming Director, Baffa Sarawa, solicited the cooperation of staff to achieve the council’s objectives and ensure progress in the LGA.
The Local Government Chairman, Salisu Sani, represented by Councillor for Revenue Rabiu Maina, pledged maximum support to the new DAGS.
Also speaking, the Local Government Treasurer, Tijjani Ibrahim, and NULGE Chairman Aminu Tafida commended the outgoing director and urged the new director to discharge his duties diligently.
The Deputy Director, Umar Faruq Bashir, welcomed participants to the ceremony.
