As usual, the Kaugama Local Government Council has conducted its monthly sanitation exercise to enhance environmental hygiene in the area.
The Special Adviser to the Local Government Council Chairman on Water and Sanitation, Muhammad Garba, stated that filthy areas such as drainages and culverts were evacuated to allow for the free flow of rainwater.
He added that the abattoir, markets, and health centers were also cleaned to improve environmental health in the area.
The State Chairman of the Central Working Committee, Alhaji Muhammad Danyayi, thanked the local government for supporting the help groups in carrying out their duties during the exercise.
In his remarks, the Council Chairman of Kaugama, Honourable Usman Masaki Dansule, pledged to support and emulate the 12-point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi in order to achieve significant success in healthcare enhancement.
He further urged residents of Kaugama to evacuate Drainages, culverts to avoid flood during the rainfall.
