JAHUN WAQAF FOUNDATION Jahun Waqaf Foundation Committee held a sensitization session for traders, stakeholders, and individuals on the importance of Waqf to the lives of Muslims.
Speaking during his welcome address, the committee’s Secretary, District Head of Aujara and Danmalan of Dutse, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Dan-Malam, highlighted the significance of Waqf and its impact on the Muslim community.
In their separate remarks, the Sarkin Malamai of Jahun and Chief Imam of Jahun, Dr. Hamza Umar, and the Chief Imam of JIBWIS Juma’at Mosque, Malam Isah Muhammad, discussed the importance of Waqf and Hubus.
They explained how the practices originated in Islam during the time of Prophet Muhammad, SAW, and his Companions.
They outlined successes achieved and charitable works carried out through Waqf and Hubus, aimed at improving the lives of orphans, the less privileged, and traders in need of capital.
Participants asked insightful questions and received further clarification, which encouraged them to commit to sensitizing other traders who could not attend the session, to ensure wider participation in the future.
