The Jigawa State Government has pledged to strengthen its collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund, ITF, to enhance the capacity and productivity of civil servants in the state.

State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, gave the assurance while receiving the management of ITF’s Jigawa State Area Office, led by Area Manager, Engineer Aliyu Zakari.

Dagaceri said the state government is fully aware of ITF’s capacity in skills training for workers and attaches great importance to continuous training and retraining of its workforce.

He added that the government will not relent in its efforts to make civil servants more active and productive through regular training programmes.

Earlier, Engineer Zakari briefed the Head of Service on ITF’s activities, noting that the Fund was established to promote skills acquisition in industry and commerce in order to generate trained manpower for both public and private sectors.

He said ITF has trained workers across the country with positive results and appealed for stronger partnership with Jigawa State to train more of its manpower.
