The Chairman of Kaugama Local Government Council, Honourable Usman Masaki Dansule, has commenced the installation of electricity poles, cables and other materials destroyed by windstorm in several communities across the area.

The restoration work covers Kaugama-Madana road, Dakayyawa-Hadejia road and other affected communities, the council said.

Dansule said the intervention is part of his administration’s commitment to improving social amenities and delivering dividends of democracy to residents at the grassroots level.

“The restoration of electricity in these communities will boost business activities, strengthen security, and improve access to essential services for our people,” he stated.

In a related development, the council has also expanded evacuation of drainages and culverts in Dakayyawa to improve environmental hygiene and ensure free flow of rainfall to prevent flooding.

The Chairman urged residents to keep waterways clean and support government efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property during the rainy season.

He added that his administration’s door remains open to receive reports on public needs for urgent action.
