In a new wave of drama, Gano community in Dawakin-Kudu local government area in Kano state, celebrated online a 15 year anniversary of dried tap in their locality.
The netizents expressed their mocking appreciation on the ‘gesture’ by political class from their extraction.
The community has an estimated population around fifty to sixty thousand, but their main eye-sore was lack of portable water supply.
This scenario, made it necessary to dig a domestic well as their source of water.
Water vendors charge N100 per jerry can (25 liters), from the commercial boreholes.
Recall that, the ertswhile state lawmaker and his counterpart at the Federal House dug a hand pump bore hole.
Each at Guntal area to compliment the traditional well.
Many people have already forgotten about tap water in the area, despite the state government’s blowing trumpet in providing the portable drinking water to the rural dwellers.
Wudil Zonal Office of the State Water Board appears to be unfunctional for long.
