The Member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, has condemned the deadly bandit attack on Kasuwar Daji town in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 2nd August, 2026, claimed the lives of security personnel and innocent civilians, while several others were abducted.
In a statement on Monday, Hon. Jaji described the incident as a “cruel and reprehensible act” that highlights the urgent need for sustained and coordinated efforts to eradicate criminality and restore lasting peace in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
He extended condolences to the families of the slain security operatives, bereaved families of civilian victims, and all those affected by the attack.
The lawmaker paid tribute to security personnel “who continue to make enormous sacrifices in defence of the nation,” noting that their courage and commitment to protecting lives and property remain invaluable.
He also commended community-based security outfits and local vigilante groups for their resilience in supporting security operations despite the risks.Hon. Jaji reaffirmed confidence in the determination of the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify the fight against banditry and other violent crimes.
He assured constituents that he would continue to work closely with relevant authorities and complement efforts by both the Federal and Zamfara State Governments to enhance the safety and security of communities.
The lawmaker urged residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and cooperative with security agencies by providing timely and credible information to aid operations against criminal elements.
He concluded by praying to Almighty Allah to grant eternal rest to the deceased, speedy recovery to the injured, comfort to the bereaved families, and the safe return of all those abducted.
