The Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology in Nigeria, SPAEN, has concluded a three-day seminar for staff of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare.

The objective of the seminar was to update staff and enhance their knowledge and skills in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diabetes in children and adolescents.

The Lead Facilitator and Consultant Endocrinologist, Dr. Abubakar Muhammad, urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from resource persons to strengthen diabetes care and control.

The Chairman of SPAEN and Co-Facilitator, Dr. Isma’il K. Musa, also a Consultant Endocrinologist, advised participants to attend to patients with confidence and humility, noting that diabetes patients feel reassured by compassionate healthcare providers.

In his closing remarks, the Chief Medical Director of the Centre, Dr. Dauda Abubakar, Zannan Dujiman Katagum, thanked the organizers for choosing the Centre for the interactive session and described it as noteworthy.

Speaking on behalf of participants, Malam Muttaka Baba Baffa expressed appreciation to SPAEN for the training, stating that it has made them more competent in their profession.

The event ended with the presentation of Certificates of Participation to all attendees.
