Jahun Waqf Foundation has held its second meeting to sensitize stakeholders in Jahun District on matters relating to Waqf.
The Deputy Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, and also the Dan-Malam din Dutse and District Head of Aujara, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Dan-Malam, disclosed this in his welcome address at the Jahun Library.
Alhaji Aminu Dan-Malam stated that it has become necessary for the community to establish a platform that can support itself in addressing everyday life challenges.
He therefore said there is a need for stakeholders to rise up and establish the Waqf Foundation as a way of showing gratitude to Allah SWT for blessing the community with wealth, so they can assist the less privileged and those affected by calamity.
Also speaking, Dr. Salisu Isma’il Jahun described the dialogue as the most beneficial meeting, where community issues would be discussed to find solutions to the problems people face in their daily lives.
In his remarks, the Chief Imam of JIBWIS Juma’at Mosque, Malam Isah Muhammad, highlighted the importance of Waqf and bequest in the lives of the community, noting that it serves as a benefit to both Muslim life and the Islamic faith.
Finally, the Chairman of the Jahun Traders Association, Alhaji Usman Muhammad Dogori, stated that as traders, they would provide all necessary support to ensure the successful establishment of the Waqf Foundation in Jahun Local Government Area.
