Vice president Kashin Shetima has led a powerful federal government delegation to kebbi State to condole and commissirate with people and state government of the state over the demise of speaker and recent killings.
Kashim Shetima who said they are in the state conveying the message of the president Bola Ahamed Tinubu to the government and people of the state over the recent bandits attack in Shanga local government area and demise of the speaker Muhammad Usman Zuru in the last couple of weeks.
He said the death of the state assembly speaker Muhammad Usman Zuru is great loss to the kebbi state, democracy and the country at large and pray to Almighty Allah to grant him jannatul firdausi and for the family to bear the lost.
The Vice president also said that, the destruction of communities in Shanga local government area like Gebe, Kalkami, Tungar Rimi, Awaye and the lost of the eleven gallant soldiers is a great lost to the state, country and the security establishment in the state.
He said persistent Bola Tinubu has instructed him to come with the Director – General of NEMA Zunaida Umar, to ensure that adequate measures are put in place to give soccure to and support to displaced communities.
The VP also gives assurance to GOC 3 Division that, the these loses would not going to be in vain, they would support him and urged him to extend the condolences of Mr President Bola Ahamed Tinubu to the families or the fallen heroes.
He commended the effort of the state governor Dr Nasir Idris for developing the state in the last three years in the area of infrastructural development, very good investment in education, and inclusivenee of all tendencies to a sense of belonging.
Earlier, receiving the condolence message on behalf of the families, the Emir of Zuru Muhammad Sanusi Mikaili Gomo III thanked the Vice president for conveying the message to the kebbi state government, Zuru emirate and the entire family of the deceased.
Responding, Governor Nasir Idris of the state, thanks President Bola Tinubu for sending a powerful delegation of caliber of people led by the VP to condole government and people of the state over some recent tragedies occured in the state.
He said within the last copies of weeks, kebbi State loses speaker, eleven gallant soldiers and attacks here and there which he described as a great lost to the state and the nation in general.
Commenting on the issue of attack in Shanga communities, Governor Idris said they have set up a committee and allocated one hundred million naira to them to resettle those people displaced by the bamdits adding that sixty million naira was also given to security agencies to share among the families of the fallen heroes.
