Isa Kaita College of Education Dutsinma, Katsina State, has matriculated a total of three hundred and fifty students (350) for the 2025/ 2026 academic session.Speaking at the event, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, said his administration put more emphasis on education and skills acquisition thereby investing more in the sector.Represented by the Director of Admission Guidance & Training, Ministry of Higher, Vocational and Technical Education Alhaji Muhammad Sani Danmusa, described teaching as the backbone of human capital development and urged the matriculating students to concentrate on their studies.According to him, Governor Radda’s investments in staff training, infrastructure, and modern facilities, which have strengthened the College, announcing that new programmes are now available in order to equip the graduates with entrepreneurship skills and start-up capital, aimed at turning them into job creators not seekers.He warned the newly matriculated students to desist from skipping classes, saying any student with less than 75% class attendance shall not be eligible to sit for examinations at the end of each semester, as attendance is not optional, but mandatory.In his remarks, the Provost of the College Dr Ismaila Ado Funtua, congratulated the matriculants, describing the ceremony as a covenant of discipline, integrity, and excellence and urged students to embrace education as a tool for national development and cautioned against social vices such as drug abuse, cultism, and examination malpracticeHe added that Matriculation is a solemn and significant academic ceremony, marking the formal admission of candidates into the college and their recognition as registered students.The Provost and the management of the school also commended the effort of the state Governor Malam Dikko Umar, some individuals and organizations for their tireless efforts toward supporting the college to achieve it’s objective.
