The Jigawa State Government has opened bids for the procurement of ten brand new Toyota Hilux vehicles and the construction of a modern cell/armory, offices, and fencing for the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps Command Headquarters in Dutse, in a move aimed at strengthening security operations in the state.
Declaring the bidding process open, Permanent Secretary of the Directorate of Special Services/Council Affairs, Alhaji Abba Mustapha Yola, said six companies are competing for the contracts.
He stressed that the government will strictly follow procurement rules to ensure transparency, accountability, and value for money. Yola explained that opening the bids does not amount to an automatic award, as evaluations will be conducted according to due process.
He urged the technical committee to remain impartial and called on the successful contractor to deliver the project within the stipulated timeline.
Engineer Kabiru Usman K. of the Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau also urged contractors to prioritize quality and timely execution.
He further advised firms to update their profiles with the Bureau, the Ministry of Commerce, and other relevant agencies. Responding on behalf of bidders, Auwal Ahmed of ANNUR-MUS SYNERGY SERVICES commended the government for the opportunity and pledged to meet it’s standards.
He described the initiative as a significant step toward enhancing the mobility and operational efficiency of security agencies in Jigawa State.
