African Democratic Congress supporters in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State staged a mass mobilization on Saturday to honour the party’s Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Nuraddeen Sulaiman Jidawa, also known as AVM Adnan.

The event drew a large turnout of party faithful from across the local government. Organizers said the gathering was meant to demonstrate growing political awareness among youths and women within the ADC structure.

The solidarity procession began at the Yakubu Pilot axis of Birnin Kudu town. From there, participants moved through major streets before terminating at Dutsen Maidodo, the residence of Hon. Jidawa.Party officials said more than one hundred youths and dozens of male supporters took part in the march.

The composition of the crowd reflected the increasing involvement of women in the party’s grassroots activities.The procession was organized to celebrate Jidawa’s emergence as Deputy State Chairman of ADC in Jigawa State. Supporters also used the occasion to reaffirm confidence in his leadership style and commitment to party development.

Speaking for the participants, coordinators Ameeruddeen Quencee and Ahmad Jidawa described the appointment as a milestone for Birnin Kudu politics. They said the elevation had strengthened the morale of party members at the local level.

According to the coordinators, the march was more than a celebration. They said it represented a symbolic endorsement of ADC’s current leadership direction in the state.

The youth leaders noted that the event showed the readiness of young people to participate actively in party building. They stressed that youths were willing to consolidate ADC structures ahead of future political engagements.

Participants carried party banners and chanted slogans of support for ADC. The atmosphere was described as peaceful and orderly throughout the route of the procession.

Addressing the crowd at Dutsen Maidodo, some supporters praised Hon. Jidawa for his accessibility and dedication to grassroots politics. They said his leadership had given them a sense of belonging within the party.

The coordinators further observed that enthusiasm among ADC members was growing across Birnin Kudu. They attributed the development to increasing confidence in the party’s capacity to offer credible leadership.

They added that ADC was making efforts to deepen democratic participation at all levels. According to them, the party was positioning itself to accommodate diverse voices, especially those of youths and women.

Several participants who spoke at the event pledged loyalty to the party. They promised to support initiatives aimed at expanding ADC’s membership and strengthening its organizational framework.

The supporters also committed to working toward improving the party’s electoral competitiveness across Jigawa State. They said unity and discipline would guide their activities going forward.Political observers present at the gathering interpreted the turnout as evidence of ADC’s expanding grassroots presence.

They noted that the mobilization of women and youths could alter the political dynamics in Birnin Kudu.The event concluded with special prayers for the growth, unity and electoral success of the African Democratic Congress at both state and national levels.

Supporters ended the programme with the party’s rallying call, “ADC – Arise and Shine Nigeria.
