The Executive Chairman of Gwiwa Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammadu Zakari Sarkin Yaki, has decorated 20 police officers recently promoted in the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony took place at the Council Secretariat. The Director of Administration and General Services, Shehu Usman Aliyu, and the Secretary of Gwiwa Local Government joined the Chairman to decorate some of the promoted officers.
Hon. Sarkin Yaki congratulated the officers on their elevation, describing it as a promotion granted by God. He called on them to remain dedicated and committed to ensuring peace and security across Gwiwa Local Government Area.
The Chairman and council officials also urged the officers to remain steadfast, hardworking, and committed in the discharge of their duties towards maintaining peace in the community.
The Divisional Police Officer of Gwiwa LGA, speaking on behalf of the Police, Immigration, DSS, and Civil Defence, expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman for his continued support and concern for security agencies. He described the Chairman as a leader who genuinely cares for his people and is committed to the welfare and safety of the community.
In conclusion, Hon. Sarkin Yaki expressed appreciation to Jigawa State Governor, His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi, for his tremendous support and contributions toward strengthening security efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability across the state and the nation.
