The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has directed all the Residents Electoral Commissioners to shelve all publicity and arrangements on the planned voters revalidation exercise scheduled from 12th of this month.
The exercise was met with serious criticism from various quarters.
Some political commentators cited the exercises as a new mode of high level maneouver to disenfranchised Nigerians to exercise their constitutional rights by choosing their desired leaders while others frown it as ill-timing, with the recent political momentum getting high for a possible change.
