A retired Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Wakil has advised President Bola Tinubu to fear God and do the needful as regards tackling the security situation in the country.

CP Wakil (rtd), who stated this in an exclusive interview with online television, described leadership as a burden that must be shouldered responsively.

According to Singham (as he was popularly called), a leader must be up and doing if the desired objectives of good governance are to be achieved.

The former Kano State Police Chief said if he were the current Inspector General of Police, he would replicate the success he recorded as Kano state police commissioner, adding that part of the measures he would take is to ensure all the men and officers involved in fighting insecurity are provided with the necessary equipment and adequately compensated.

CP Wakil further lamented the level of drug abuse and addiction in the country, expressing dissatisfaction with the level of  commitment in combating the menace on the part of the relevant authorities.
