In a continued effort to support basic and religious education, the Grassroots Mobilizer for Better Nigeria Initiative (GMBNI) has donated educational materials to students of Nurul Islam Islamiyya School, located in Galadanci town, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.The delegation, led by the North West Zonal Coordinator of the initiative, Abbas Rufa’i Wangara, distributed one hundred School Bags and copies of the Holy Qur’an to the pupils on behalf of the Founder, Ambassador (Dr.) Fatima Mohammed Goni.Speaking during the distribution ceremony, Coordinator Wangara conveyed the Founder’s commitment to uplifting educational standards at the grassroots level. He expressed profound satisfaction with the academic performance and moral conduct of the students at the Islamiyya school.”We are here today to put a smile on the faces of these young learners. Ambassador (Dr.) Fatima Mohammed Goni believes that education, particularly Qur’anic education, is the foundation upon which a better Nigeria can be built. These school bags and Qur’ans are not just gifts; they are tools to encourage these children to pursue knowledge with dedication,” Wangara stated.While addressing the community, the Zonal Coordinator made a passionate appeal to other wealthy individuals, corporate organizations, and public-spirited citizens to emulate the kind gesture of Dr. Goni. He noted that government efforts alone cannot meet the needs of the increasing number of Qur’anic schools, and that collective responsibility is required to ensure these institutions are well-equipped.”We call on all well-to-do individuals in Jigawa State and beyond to look towards our Almajiri and Islamiyya schools.
