In a move to ensure a smooth and conducive environment for workers during the holy month of Ramadan, the Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government Council, Salisu Sani Garin-Gabas, has donated 3 million Naira to support the local government staff.
He said the gesture is to make good relationship between the workers and the elected office holders in terms of day to day activities.
In his response, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Malam Madori Branch, Comrade Aminu Tafida, made this known to the local Government information officer Musa Muhammad Hadejià where he commended the council chairman for his generous gesture.
He further expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation of the local government secretariat and the provision of uninterrupted portable drinking water powered by a solar energy system.
Earlier in his tenure, Chairman Salisu Sani Garin-Gabas had employed over 50 casual staff to fill existing vacancies, while 30 permanent and pensionable staff were promoted to next level.
