The Jigawa state Police Command received four hundred and forty eight (448) newly passed out Police Constables from the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters Abuja who underwent six (6) months of rigorous training at Police College Kaduna (PCK).
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the command public relations department SP Lawan Shi’isu Adam.
While addressing the new Police Constables at the parade ground at state headquarters in Dutse, the Jigawa state Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi psc, warned them to be disciplined and follow the Nigeria Police Act and Regulations, as well as other federal laws.
Shi’isu added that; CP urged the Police Constables, including General Duty and Specialists, to carry out their primary duties with integrity, honesty, professionalism, and respect for human rights.
He also advised them to avoid all forms of unnecessary loans, as well as corrupt practices and bribes.
The Commissioner of Police directed the Department of Operations and Mobile Base, 35PMF Dutse, to immediately train the new officers, particularly on practical police duty, weapons handling, musketry, and combat operations, in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) before being posted to various divisions.
