The Nigerian Senate has approved legislation establishing multiple new federal educational institutions, including upgrades to the Federal University of Education Gumel in Jigawa state and the federal college of education (Technical) in Asaba, Delta State, and the Federal College of Education (Special) in Karaye, Kano State.
