A fire incidence occured in Shakkato filling station along kiyawa road by Takur adua area in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
Police public relations officer Jigawa State command SP Lawan Shi’isu Adam confirmed the incident to newsmen in Dutse, were he said ” The fire was successfully quenched by the combine efforts of the fire fighters and the good Samaritans. While the police officers in connection with other security agents blocked the entire area to prevent miscreants from taking advantage of the incident and steal”
Investigation revealed that; the caused of the genesis was in trying to discharge petroleum from the tanker into the ground tank suddenly the fire ignited beyond the control of the filling station operators.
No loss of life and casualty recorded but the value of properties damage not yet to ascertained.
